The modal verb "would" is used in English to express hypothetical or unreal situations, as in conditionals. It is also used to indicate wishes or intentions in the past, showing what someone thought would happen.

Must


The modal auxiliary "must" is used in English to express an obligation or necessity, and is translated as "must" or "have to." Unlike other modal auxiliaries, "must" is not conjugated; it remains the same in all verb forms.


1. Affirmative Form:

  • Formula: Personal Noun + must + Verb Simple Form + Complement

2. Negative Form:

  • Formula: Personal Noun + must not / mustn't + Verb Simple Form + Complement

3. Interrogative Form:

  • Formula: Must + Personal Noun + Verb Simple Form + Complement + ?


Examples

  1. She must finish the project by tomorrow.(Ella debe terminar el proyecto para mañana.)
  2. You must not enter this area without permission.(No debes entrar a esta área sin permiso.)
